Mimzy is beginning to look tennis ball tummied again. That brazen hussy - she's be sneaking out of the cage; she fits through the FN bars. She won't be hanging with the big girls any more!!! Got to put a stop to her wanton ways; I've still got the 8 babies from the last litter she had!

three days ago we realized little Miss Mimzy wasn't just getting chubby - ugh, Mom that's a PREGNANT belly. We were all like how did that happen? She hasn't been with any boys? Yesterday she had 10 babies. 2 didn't make it, the one was half the size of the others, and the other one, who knows why. So we have 8 new squeakers, 1 new mommie, 2 happy grandparent ratties, and 9 others. Oy, 20 rats. And we were cutting back our numbers!!!

Took their last trip today. Took them to the vet to be PTS. Lennox had had surgery the day she came to my house and her whole body was covered, from the mid line down and her neck too, with cancerous action. Peanut had had one tumor removal, growing another big one and had problems with her back legs. Both of these girls were at least 2.5 years old - maybe more, who knows, they were rescues/rehomes.

did a hard thing today. I've been comtemplating it for weeks now, and today I finally called the vet and made appts to have the old girls PTS. Lennox and Peanut have already had one surgery apiece for tumors. They are both rescue/rehome so I have no idea how old they really are, and Lennox now has atleast 4 seperate areas where new tumors are starting along with one large one.
